Paradise Road (171 Coleman parade, Glen Waverley VIC 3150)

If you're ever in Melbourne, stop by Glen Waverley! The area is filled with all sorts of restaurants ranging from different cultures and different kinds of food. My boyfriend's cousin works at a Thai restaurant called Paradise Road so when we were down in Melbourne we decided to give it a go. The restaurant is set up with many decorations from the Thai culture. The atmosphere is lively and the service is amazing. The workers are friendly (not saying it only because I know one of the workers, they are really friendly). The manager is super friendly too and very easy to get along with. There were four of us for dinner, so we decided to order a few dishes and share :)

Thai Style BBQ Chicken - $17.90
The BBQ chicken was amazing! It was marinated with lemongrass garlic & coriander, served with sweet chilli sauce. It was tender and cooked well. We poured the sweet chilli sauce all over and the hot plate sizzled which made the chicken become hotter (in temperature) which was amazing! The rice on the side, was jasmine rice which wasn't surprising to me because I always have rice (Asian :P)

Vegetable Spring Rolls - $7.90
This was given to us as a complimentary dish from the manager. They are homemade with a spring roll skin and served with sweet chilli sauce. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you're vegetarian or just enjoy spring rolls, this is a pleasant entree to start with.

Pad See Ew (Seafood) - $21.90
I love Pad See Ew, however I don't think this dish was cooked well. There was not enough flavour. The seafood was good, but I was disappointed. It is a dish with stir fried flat noodles, vegetables, eggs and your choice of meat (which we chose seafood), and soy sauce. It was nicely stirred but just a bit more flavour and it would've been perfect.

Pad Thai (Chicken) - $16.90
This dish is stir fried with rice noodles, bean sprouts, been shoots, egg, bean curd, dry shrimps with tamarind sauce, crushed peanuts, preserved turnip and your choice of meat (we chose chicken). I'm not a big fan of Pad Thai but this dish had so much flavour it satisfied my taste buds so much that I finished this dish to myself! It was amazing.

Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding with Vanilla Ice cream - $8.90
We were recommended with this dish by one of the waiters. He told us what it was and that it was his favourite so we thought, why not. When it was served to us, we were given an extra scoop of vanilla ice cream, on the house. I was disappointed when I took a bite. It tastes exactly like the chocolate mud cake from Woolworths, which is only $5 for a whole cake. If I knew that, I would've ordered a different dish of dessert. For $8.90, this is quite pricey. The proportion is tiny and will probably only feed one person (we cut in into four pieces). In my opinion, I would've ordered something different. I love chocolate cake, but when I'm out for dessert I'd prefer something I can't always get easily.

I've had some comments from others saying that this restaurant is a bit pricey but I think it is a good amount for the dishes we ordered. I would recommend coming back to this restaurant as I love the worker's customer care! If you're ever in Melbourne, please stop by this restaurant! Glen Waverley is pretty much open 24/7! It's busy during the day and busier in the night!
